Pollution Abatement Efforts
Green Bay Packaging has been
extensively recognized for reducing emissions of hazardous air pollutants. In
1991, Green Bay Packaging pursued participation in the Environmental Protection
Agency's "33/50 Program," which sought voluntary reduction in the
emission of designated chemicals by 50%. Green Bay Packaging had only one of
these identified substances, and achieved a 99% reduction by 1996.
