UTILIZATION OF LOW SULPHUR COAL:
Since its installation in 1978, the industrial boiler at the Green Bay Mill has burned low sulfur coal, despite the fact that this coal is less readily available and more expensive. In addition, when the Green Bay facility was built, the commitment was made to use the best available technology to control emissions. To this end, one of the first boiler baghouses was installed to eliminate particulate emissions. This baghouse has been in continuous use since 1978, and continues to outperform mandated state and federal requirements.
