CONEG REDUCTION OF HEAVY METALS IN PACKAGING MATERIALS:
CONEG REDUCTION OF HEAVY
METALS IN PACKAGING MATERIALS:
Procedures and policies were implemented in the autumn of 1992 to ensure that
all incoming raw materials, chemical formulations and products, etc., that are
incorporated into corrugated boxes comply with the CONEG Model Toxic
Legislation's final heavy metal limitation. All respective vendors and
suppliers were individually notified by letter that Green Bay Packaging would
not purchase any said materials or products to which cadmium, hexavalent
chromium, lead and mercury had been intentionally added; or which contained an
aggregated incidental level of these heavy metals exceeding 100 ppm.
